The experimental update introduced visual radius circles when placing an "Establish base request" task (White for build area, Green for min base distance, Teal for standard radio range, and Yellow for radio relay range) along with a legend block on the right.
While the color coding and legend are helpful, relying solely on line colors makes quick map readability difficult during intense gameplay. It is also less accessible for colorblind players or when zooming in close where the legend panel may be hidden.
Adding small representative icons along or anchored to each radius ring (e.g., a hammer/wrench for build area, a radio mast/antenna for radio range, and a distance/base icon for minimum spacing) would drastically improve visual clarity.
Rationale / Why it's needed:
Better Accessibility & UX: Helps colorblind players distinguish boundaries instantly without relying on color nuances.
Faster Map Reading: Allows commanders/players to instantly identify which boundary is which, even when zoomed in and the legend sidebar is out of view.
Suggested Implementation:
Place small intuitive icons directly along the perimeter or at the top anchor points of each radius circle (e.g., Radio tower icon for radio coverage, Construction icon for build area, Distance/Base barrier icon for minimum base spacing).
