Experimental Version
Mission
Is it modded?
Description
Did a game playing FIA tonight. On my first spawn in, I end up finding a truck with loads of AT mines. I find a good spot for them based on the US/USSR supply routes and expected progress routes are.
I let the whole team know where I will place the mines and go to place them.
After they are placed I again let the whole team know the minefield is placed and clearly marked it on the map.
Then a friendly FIA not paying attention hit a mine and I get a single friendly kill.
Now that gives friendly fire, which can happen but normally not to bad with a single incident when playing US or USSR, however due to the FIA rank system, that single incident caused me to immediately become Renegade and that as FIA is basically the same as a full server ban until next match starts (which can be several hours/rest of the day). This is due to not being able to regain xp to loose the Renegade rank, since nothing now works, I tested the following:
No xp for supplies, no xp for killing enemy, no xp for destroy enemy vehicles, no xp for change radio relay (cant interact), no xp for staying close to team mate (not able to join a squad), not able to speak on radio, not able to use the FIA weapons crates (since lowest rank needed for all items) and all FIA ai's on the map will shoot at you.
Surely this can't be the intention of the FIA rank system and the Renegade system, that a single incident, in this case caused by a friendly not paying attention (he was very sorry afterwards when he learned the consequence) will cause you not to be able to attend the game for the rest of the night in my case, after only about 20 minutes playtime.
