something similar happened to me on the live branch now. i accidentally bumped my truck into a fia bot and suddenly went renegade.

• shooting american/soviets while wearing fia clothing gives negative rank because apparently it's wearing clothing of a different faction. the game only tells you this after you killed someone and lost rank.

• delivering supplies to bases is extremely hard because at the beginning of the match all fia bases and all supply points have bots on them that shoot you and you cant shoot back

• the further the game progresses, the fewer fia bases there are, to the point that fia has no bases left

• delivering supplies to caches apparently doesn't give rank

american or soviet renegades can usually find a base far from the front that hasn't ai and just deliver supplies there. being unable to do that and being unable to just kill people from enemy factions makes it incredibly hard.

i found the only way to get back rank is sneaking into bases or supply depots naked and killing players that are distracted. this only works until people get guard bots at bases, which spot you from hundreds of meters distance.

driving around fia players apparently also gives a little bit of rank back.
