The command truck as it functions currently is close to the best it has ever been. We have real command features and as it sits it can still be a strong frontline utility to an experienced commander. The main issue I have is how it functions with supply. The way supply interacts feels obtuse and poorly communicated to the player. I don't know if this would be considered a bug or feature as it stands.
This is my understand of how the command truck functions currently, please correct me if I'm wrong:
You can spawn via the command truck but the only functional way is by transferring the supply to the ground. The truck will read supply from a storage point, it will acknowledge supply loaded in it's own capacity. But it will not let you spawn via either one of those sources. Only if the supply is on the ground will it allow you to spawn. This gives a window to re-spawn as long as the supply remains and hasn't degraded, or the player operating the vehicle coordinates supply use and spawning.
Is this behavior intentional as a design? If yes it needs to be better communicated through the UI and Map, if no, i would hope to see the command truck and supply interaction match consistency of other vehicles that utilize supply.
'Command truck with spawns'
shows the truck with supply on the ground and functioning. You can see Activ-11 who recently spawned and moving up to support.
'Command truck ghosting'
shows the command truck feeding off of the supply from the depot, But will not allow you to spawn.
