Description
Currently, all vehicles decommission for -75% of their original cost, even if they are in pristine condition. This creates a "disposable vehicle" meta where players abandon vehicles in the field because the effort to return and decommission them isn't worth the low supply return.
Align vehicle decommissioning with the existing equipment refund system (e.g. an AK-74 bought for 14 supplies refunds for 14 supplies).
Pristine Condition: Decommission for 100% of the spawn cost.
Damaged Condition (any): Decommission for 25% (the current -75% penalty).
Performance Optimization: Incentivizes players to bring vehicles back to base to decommission rather than leaving them abandoned, reducing the entity count which positively contributes to server lag.
Perceived Vehicle Value: Assets hold their worth rather than being discarded or abandoned.
Gameplay Depth: Creates a Repair-to-Refund loop. Players will want to repair vehicles to "max out" their refund value.
Resource Economy: Encourages a healthier in-game economy where resources are recycled back into the base.
Realism: Damaged vehicles incur a "refurbishment fee" (the -75% penalty), while pristine vehicles are essentially "put back into the motor pool".
Concept
A truck costs 200 supplies, if damaged, it goes down -75% (50 supplies), if pristine it decommissions for the original 200 supplies
Decommission a pristine truck:
1- Spawn a pristine truck near a Heavy Vehicle Depot;
2- Decommission it. (50 supplies gained -> Should be 200)
Decommission a broken truck
1- Spawn a truck near a Heavy Vehicle Depot;
2- Break it and decommission it. (50 supplies gained -> Correct) (Repair it -> 200 supplies gained)
