What happened?

So I use to stream my game play but let me tell you it real hard. after installing OBS I lost in game mic usage. I tried everything and I mean everything. including looking online and trying all there stupid crap. You need to make a update to fix this issue. Allow people to select there mic. Because leaving it to default you get stupid issues like this.. You should have a test in the settings to make sure the mic work.

Now before you try to say anything about how its my computer, this happened with more then one computer. its not the mic, ans I tried 5 different ones. its not the software or settings. all window settings are set to work for the mic and it works in every other game. It works great for OBS. BUT your game my god I had this issue for years now and last time I came to you with a issue you kept telling me it was my equipment and not your game. Guess what I was right last time and I'm right this time. I can prove its your game AGAIN so ask for anything you need. because for the mic to work its a simple setting right?

    Ты пробовал удалять все устроиства из списка windows, оставляя один активный микрофон ? в настройки голоса в настройках steam пробовал смотреть ?
    Откройте Параметры Windows -> Конфиденциальность и безопасность -> Микрофон.

    1. Убедитесь, что переключатель "Разрешить приложениям доступ к микрофону" включен.

    2. Прокрутите список вниз и убедитесь, что для DayZ доступ разрешен

    Выходное устройство: Откройте настройки звука Windows, найдите раздел "Микшер громкости" для приложений и убедитесь, что для DayZ выбран правильный микрофон, а не "Default" или другое устройство

    @twiskid "Прокрутите список вниз и убедитесь, что для DayZ доступ разрешен" this part, The game does not show in the setting. Other games that use the mic do and work fine. I have tried many time to gt the game added. including running the mae as admin

    1. Откройте Steam и в левом верхнем углу нажмите Steam → Настройки.

    2. Перейдите на вкладку "Голос".

    3. В разделе "Передача голоса" выберите "Активация по нажатию клавиши".

    4. Назначьте клавишу, например Caps Lock (ту же, что используете в DayZ).

    Sorry I might haver gotten my sections in your 1st message wrong. I am still going to show the info you provided has already been done. and all other microphons are disabled when testing and in use.


    The issue is with DayZ not working after OBS install. You can see with the next image it is not part of the active Apps windows sees for Microphone use.

    You can see other games and steam are show and active when the Microphone is used. DayZ was on this list untill after OBS was installed. No other gamer or application was effected.

    If you uninstall OBS, does the mic in game still not work?

    Correct, same with unistalling the game and reinstalling it. what ever change OBS made with the game is a permanant change. MAybe if I scrub the computer of all little bits of DayZ it might help but thats a lot to do.. New computer or fresh windows install game works fine I wa able to talk just fine till i installed OBS. and uninstalling it was the first thing I tried
