A few patches ago you removed the ability to repair Improvised Clothing (which is crafted 100% out of Rags) with Rags. I think the option to repair it with Rags is a) realistic/immersive and b) good for gameplay/balance, because Improvised Clothing is already quite bad and a last resort. Nerfing it by needing a Sewing Kit or Duct Tape instead of Rags to repair it was unnecessary in my opinion.
Especially with the upcoming Badlands DLC and the necessity to cover parts of your body to protect them from the sun and sand storms, I guess we will use Improvised Clothing a lot and the option to repair these with Rags is very welcome.
Reproduction steps
Have damaged Improvised Clothing.
Try to repair with Rags, as it worked a few months ago.
I think the bigger issue is that you can't break down the improvised clothing with your bare hands, or at all. I was very pleased a few weeks ago to discover that you can now break down the drysack backpack with your bare hands.
I place an emphasis on the word "very".
It would be a fair mechanic if there were more crafts you could deconstruct with their operands. (Improvised fishing pole broken down with bare hands is one example.)
This is why I believe its so valuable for the community to have a forum again; especially one that encourages the devs to interact with the player base, particularly those with a special interest in the development of the game. It would be nice to be able to understand what they want the game to be; what they are thinking when they are designing features, their long term goals if they have any.
