After updating to Arma Reforger 1.9, the input handling issue I previously reported in ARGF-555 has returned.
When the VKB S-TECS is connected, certain in-game interactions become unreliable. Inventory drag-and-drop and right-click item transfers work only occasionally, sometimes requiring 5–10 attempts.
This is not a mouse hardware issue. The same behavior occurs with different mice.
Disconnecting the S-TECS immediately restores normal functionality. Reconnecting it immediately reproduces the issue, without restarting the game.
Diagnostic findings
Using ArmaReforgerSteamDiag.exe, I confirmed:
Diag Device → mouse correctly registers every press, release and movement.
InventoryContext → Inventory_drag activates correctly, even when the actual interaction fails.
Diag Device → joystick sometimes shows S-TECS buttons remaining true after physical release.
External VKB diagnostics correctly register every press and release.
S-TECS axes work normally.
Therefore, the issue appears to involve input state handling within Enfusion rather than hardware or incorrect bindings.
Important history
Version 1.6: Everything worked correctly.
Version 1.7: Not tested.
Version 1.8: The original problem appeared and was reported in ARGF-555.
At some point, the inventory interaction issue disappeared without any identifiable fix. However, the problem seemingly shifted to the S-TECS buttons: button presses frequently failed to trigger in-game actions, sometimes requiring several attempts. The axes remained fully functional.
It almost seemed as though input devices had changed priority, although this is only an observation, not a confirmed explanation.
Version 1.9: The original interaction problem returned immediately after updating. Additionally, I can now observe incorrect button states directly in Enfusion's diagnostic display.
Troubleshooting
Steam Input is disabled. The issue reproduces without custom input configuration files and with my other VKB joystick disconnected.
Previous tests included resetting the game profile, updating VKB firmware, restoring default device settings, and disabling various HID functions. None resolved the issue.
Video evidence

The video demonstrates the failed inventory interactions, correctly registered input actions, and immediate changes in behavior when connecting and disconnecting the S-TECS.
I suspect these symptoms may share a common cause in Enfusion's input handling system. I hope the diagnostic information helps identify the underlying issue.
