There is a multiplayer state leak issue with helicopter weapon sights, specifically affecting players in the Pilot seat (observed on UH-1H and Mi-8MT). When a pilot toggles their weapon optic on/off via keypress, the optic state is involuntarily triggered for pilots of other helicopters (both friendly and hostile) located within approximately a 2 km radius. This issue specifically affects the pilot's sight view and does not apply to co-pilots or dedicated gunner positions.
This bug is being used as an exploit in combat: a pilot can spam the sight toggle button, forcing an enemy pilot's sight view to continuously open, close, or shake, effectively preventing them from aiming or steering accurately while in optic mode.
Steps to Reproduce:
Start a multiplayer server session.
Place two armed helicopters (e.g., one UH-1H and one Mi-8MT) within ~2 km of each other.
Player 1 enters Helicopter A into the Pilot seat and switches to the pilot optic view.
Player 2 enters Helicopter B into the Pilot seat and repeatedly presses the keybind to toggle their pilot sight on/off.
Observe Player 1's pilot optic view constantly toggling/disrupting in sync with Player 2's inputs.
Expected Result: Pilot optic sight toggles and controls must remain strictly local to each individual pilot and vehicle.
Actual Result: Pressing the optic toggle button in the pilot seat forces the optic state to toggle for other helicopter pilots within range (~2 km).
Impact / Severity: High (Exploit / Combat disruption). Allows pilots to completely disrupt enemy pilots' targeting simply by spamming the optic toggle button.
