An intelligent little commander-in-chief may have once said an army marches on its stomach. In HQC, mastering the supply chain is about more than just stockpiling—it’s about rationing wisely and managing resources so your forces stay ready without waste or excess.
Supply Rationing for Spawns
The MRE pallet assets from Game Master should be made able to be spawned from the Living Quarters for say 500-1000 supply, so as to save that amount of supply for spawning AI and players. This should help prevent lone-wolf and FIA supply consumption from arsenals and vehicle depots. They should probably be made destructible (as everything else should) to prevent using them as walls, but not-so-easily; because they should also be easy to place inside buildings to hide/protect them.
Military Vehicle Allocation by Group
Only group leaders should be able to spawn vehicles, and they must be specific to their group type. Obviously the CO can still spawn any kind of VIC for them, and players shouldn’t be locked out of using them just because of specialization or rank. Group members should just be disabled from spawning them on their own because currently base operations resemble more of a free-for-all looting gang than that of an organized military.
Assault and Machine Gun groups cannot spawn the big transport trucks, just light utility and their armed variants.
Heli Transport can only spawn helicopters.
Engineers can spawn construction and utility trucks as well as the unarmed light vehicles.
Mechanized can only get LAV/M113 and BTR/BRDM.
Medic just get ambulances.
Recon can only get light utility VICs (USSR can get the BRDM scout variant, US can also get a LAV variant?)
Transport should only be able to spawn the large utility trucks and any unarmed light vehicle.
Maybe members of groups should be able to create “Request Pickup” tasks on their own but would require their leaders approval so as to avoid spamming comms and to confirm an accurate location.
Restricting vehicle spawning and managing supply rationing by group helps prevent resource contention and server clutter, fostering organized gameplay and improving overall performance.
