I would really like to see the developers expand the squad command system and make ranks have more actual importance and functionality.
For example, a Commander should be able to command NPC forces from a proper command/operations room, allowing them to direct troops logistically, militarily, or in other strategic ways.
I also think NPCs should become more advanced and capable in several areas:
* Aircraft operations: NPCs should be capable of piloting aircraft and performing basic air missions.
* Organized attacks: NPC forces should be able to launch organized attacks against nearby locations with the objective of expanding their territory.
* Logistics: NPCs should have their own logistical supply lines and be able to transport resources between bases and frontline positions.
* NPC Commanders: If no real player is available to command a unit or force, an NPC Commander could temporarily take that role.
* Construction orders: Commanders should be able to issue construction orders for specific structures within their camps or bases, with NPCs carrying out the actual construction.
I also have another suggestion regarding military camps.
Camps could be assigned to specific squads or divisions, with the name of the squad or division displayed as the unit responsible for operating that camp. The person appointed by the Commander would then be responsible for managing that camp and its personnel.
The command structure could work something like:
Commander → Division/Unit Leaders → Squad Leaders → Soldiers/NPCs
Higher-ranking commanders could assign responsibilities and areas of operation, while lower-ranking leaders would manage their own units and camps.
I think the game should develop much further in this direction. It would make the military system more effective, organized, and realistic, especially because the game is designed around groups of players working together, with each person potentially having their own squad and responsibilities.
The goal shouldn't be to take freedom away from players, but to give the command structure a real purpose and make cooperation between players and NPCs much deeper.
