Hello.
Arma Reforger consistently crashes to desktop within roughly 10–20 minutes of gameplay, in all game modes tested, which include: singleplayer, vanilla multiplayer, and modded multiplayer. This has been occurring for several weeks across multiple game versions/updates and persists after extensive hardware and software troubleshooting on my end.
You will find attached a screenshot of the crash report I receive after crash, as well as my latest crashlog found in the files after a game on a modded server. PLEASE NOTE that as mentioned earlier, these crash ALSO happen on singleplayer as well as vanilla multiplayer servers.
System Specification
OS: Windows 11
CPU: Intel Core i7-13700F
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti (8GB VRAM)
RAM: 32 GB (32517 MB reported)
Game version: 1.7.0.54
PC model: Acer Predator Orion PO3-650 (prebuilt desktop)
Crash Description
Game runs fine until it suddenly crashes, leaving me with that crashnote attached.
Troubleshooting Already Performed (No Effect on Crash)
Full uninstall/reinstall of the game
Steam file integrity verification
Deletion of local Addons/mod cache folder
Reset of the game profile folder (Documents\My Games\ArmaReforger\profile) — fresh profile, still crashes
GPU driver fully removed via DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) and cleanly reinstalled (latest NVIDIA driver)
BattlEye service reinstalled via the game's dedicated install script
Game and BattlEye folders excluded from Windows Defender / antivirus
Windows Memory Integrity (Core Isolation / VBS) disabled
BIOS updated to the latest version (Intel microcode update included)
In-game FPS capped to 60
CPU stress-tested (OCCT with AVX2, and Core Cycler, 2 threads) — no errors found
RAM tested with HCI MemTest (10 instances × 20,000 MB, ~5 hours) — no errors found
CPU thermal paste reapplied
Crash reproduced in singleplayer, vanilla multiplayer, and modded multiplayer alike — rules out mods and server-specific issues
Additional Observation: CPU Temperatures
During a monitored session (HWiNFO log attached/available on request), the CPU repeatedly reached 100°C (thermal junction limit) under sustained clocks of ~5.1–5.2 GHz, within the first 2 minutes of gameplay. While this may be a contributing/aggravating factor specific to my hardware, this exact crash signature (Access violation, Illegal read, within minutes of launch) has been reported by other players with entirely different hardware configurations, including different CPU generations and GPU vendors, which suggests the root cause lies in the game itself rather than being purely hardware-specific.
In conclusion
Given that:
The crash occurs identically across all game modes,
No third-party software appears in either crash stack,
Extensive hardware testing (RAM, CPU, GPU) found no faults,
The same crash signature is reported by other players on unrelated hardware,
I believe this is a bug in the current game build rather than an issue with my system. If there is anything anyone could do to help me that I haven't done already I would be a taker. It really sucks because I have over 88 hours in game and now I simply cannot play anymore. It's one of my favorite games.
I would appreciate some help.
Thank you for your time and for looking into this.
