    Hello everyone,
A new ticket has been created regarding crashes caused by high graphics settings: https://report.bistudio.com/issues/DZG-1894
If you need to lower your graphics settings or disable graphics features to not crash, let's continue the investigation there.

  • Hello everyone 👋,

Developers need more data related to graphics settings and why they don't allow you to play.
In this ticket are particularly interested in the users who solved their crashes by lowering terrain / object render distance or disabling some graphics features such as Smooth Motion.

If I understand issue correctly that, when you have higher settings or enable certain graphics features, the game crashes (without any crashdump being generated) instead of lower frame rate, correct?

If so, please provide your dxdiag file (please rename it), and share your DayZ.cfg & <user>_settings.DayZProfile files from Documents/DayZ folder. Ideally, provide DayZ files from both cases: when is playable and when it crashes.

Ideally, reproduce the crash and provide the resulting driver crashdump. For that you should install NVIDIA Nsight Aftermath GPU Crash Dump Monitor (for NVidia graphics cards) or AMD Radeon™ GPU Detective (RGD) (for AMD). Set it up and enable. Use your favourite AI or search engine for help.

If the game crashes and a driver or/and game crash dump is generated, please attach it to this ticket.

If you crash but the driver-tools did not generate anything, either the crash is not graphics related or the tool was not enabled or configured properly.
