If you recruit the bot into your squad, you can give him the "don't shoot" command, and he won't shoot at anybody. The addition of FIA is primarily intended to create a disturbance. Introducing a diplomacy or alliance feature could potentially change the focus of the update, as FIA players might feel compelled to choose a side, which could make their role less distinct.

Experimental is so weird because of stuff like this. I've personally tested this issue with 2 different headset pairs and haven't found the same issue. Mine worked perfectly. Even tried messing with some Windows audio settings, and it still worked fine. Have you encountered this issue in any other version?
