DayZ Xbox – permanently stuck on blurry loading screen

Every time I try to join a DayZ server, whether it is Official or Community, I get through the initial loading process and then the game gets stuck on the loading screen showing my character with the blurry background. It never progresses into the game, no matter how long I wait.

I have tried literally everything I can think of, including:

Completely uninstalling and reinstalling DayZ

Clearing the game cache

Clearing the Xbox cache

Clearing the Blu-ray persistent storage

Fully shutting down and power cycling the Xbox

Hard resetting the Xbox

Performing a full factory reset of the Xbox

Trying different internet connections

Trying different Wi-Fi networks

Trying a different network/connection entirely

Changing the Xbox/DayZ region

Trying different Xbox/Microsoft accounts

Trying both Official and Community servers

Restarting the router/modem

Trying all the usual network troubleshooting

Deleting and reinstalling the game again after the resets

Nothing has made any difference.

The problem happens with every server I try, so it is not just one particular server. It also happens with different accounts and different internet connections, which makes it extremely difficult to understand what is causing it.

At this point I have essentially ruled out the normal Xbox, installation, account and network troubleshooting. The Xbox has even been completely factory reset and DayZ has been freshly installed, yet I still get exactly the same frozen, blurry character loading screen.

I can leave it sitting on this screen indefinitely and it simply never loads into the game.

Has anyone actually found a solution to this specific issue on Xbox? Or is this a known DayZ Xbox bug that needs to be fixed by the developers?
