Following the removal of MAM logs, community server administrators have lost an important tool for managing and investigating player behaviour.
MAM logs were useful for reviewing player activity and incidents when dealing with reports, suspected rule violations and repeat offenders. With this information no longer available, community servers have significantly less information available when making moderation decisions.
I understand there may have been valid reasons for removing MAM logs, and I'm not necessarily asking for the original system to simply be restored. However, I would like to ask whether Bohemia could consider providing an official alternative for community server moderation and player reporting.
My concern is that without an official solution, communities may attempt to create their own shared player-reporting or blacklist systems. This could potentially lead to false reports, abuse of the system, or players being unfairly labelled across multiple communities.
An official system designed with appropriate safeguards could provide communities with useful moderation information while also protecting players from inaccurate or malicious reports.
