1. Console server administrators still unable to reliably ban problematic players
Another long-standing concern is the ability of console server administrators to effectively ban players.
There continue to be situations where administrators are unable to reliably prevent specific players from returning to their console servers, making moderation considerably more difficult.
This becomes particularly serious when combined with exploits, harassment, cheating, or deliberate disruption of other players.
Console server owners need dependable moderation tools. If an administrator has identified a player who is repeatedly causing problems, there should be a reliable mechanism for preventing that player from continuing to disrupt the same community.
There is already a Feedback Tracker report concerning this issue:
https://feedback.bistudio.com/T198260
It would be useful to see this issue acknowledged and, ideally, receive an update regarding its current status and whether a permanent solution is being worked on.
2. Console servers associated with the "Cars/Loot/Food" network reportedly using unsupported methods
There are also ongoing concerns regarding servers associated with the "Cars/Loot/Food" server network that appear to be using methods that are not part of the officially supported console-server functionality.
These servers are reportedly able to provide heavily modified gameplay and configurations that would normally require functionality unavailable through the standard console server setup.
The concern here is not the specific gameplay settings themselves, but how these servers are achieving them and whether they are using unsupported or unauthorized methods to bypass the normal limitations of console servers.
If these methods are not permitted, it would be helpful for Bohemia Interactive to investigate the servers involved and clarify how this functionality is being achieved.
If these configurations are actually permitted, clearer documentation would be useful so that other server owners understand what is officially possible and what rules apply.
This is particularly important for maintaining consistency between community server operators who follow the officially supported configuration and those who may be using alternative methods.
3. Emote-related invulnerability / godmode exploit
There continues to be an exploit involving the emote system that can reportedly result in players becoming invulnerable or otherwise obtaining unintended protection from damage.
This creates an obvious gameplay advantage, particularly in PvP situations, because an affected player can survive circumstances in which a normal player would take damage or be killed.
Considering the competitive and survival-focused nature of the game, exploits that provide effective godmode should be treated as a high-priority issue.
This has reportedly remained possible across multiple updates and would benefit from a proper investigation and permanent fix.
4. Emote exploit allowing "skywalking"
Another emote-related exploit reportedly allows players to perform what the community commonly refers to as "skywalking."
This can allow players to reach or remain in positions that would normally be inaccessible, potentially bypassing intended movement and environmental restrictions.
Apart from creating an unfair advantage, this can also potentially be used to access locations or situations that were never intended to be available to players.
This issue has reportedly survived multiple updates and should be investigated alongside the other emote-related exploits.
5. Servers missing from the official server browser / PC launcher
There are continuing reports of servers, including community and self-hosted servers, failing to consistently appear in the built-in server browser and/or PC launcher server list.
When a server is not visible through the normal discovery system, players may be unable to find it without being given alternative information by the server owner.
This is particularly problematic for community servers, where discoverability is essential for maintaining an active player base.
A server can be online and functioning correctly while effectively being invisible to potential players.
6. Console-freezing exploit affecting nearby players
There are also reports of an exploit that can cause another player's console client to freeze when they are within a certain range.
The affected client can become completely unresponsive and may require the player to restart the game or console before they can continue playing.
This is considerably more serious than an ordinary graphical or gameplay bug because it can potentially be used to deliberately disrupt another player's session.
Issues that allow one player to interfere with another player's client should receive particular attention because of the potential for harassment and repeated disruption.
7. Item duplication remains possible
Item duplication exploits also continue to be reported.
Duplication can have a substantial impact on server economies and progression, particularly on servers where valuable items, weapons, ammunition, equipment, building materials, or other resources are intended to have limited availability.
Once duplicated items enter circulation, server administrators can be left dealing with the consequences even after the underlying exploit has been fixed.
A long-term solution should therefore address the underlying duplication mechanism rather than only individual duplication methods.
Why these issues should be acknowledged
The purpose of raising these issues is not to provide instructions for exploiting them.
The concern is that several problems appear to have existed for extended periods of time, while others have a direct impact on server integrity, moderation, competitive gameplay, and the experience of other players.
The current Known Issues section is useful, but it would be even more helpful if significant community-reported issues were also acknowledged when they are confirmed or under investigation.
At minimum, it would be beneficial for these issues to receive one of the following:
* confirmation that the issue has been reproduced;
* acknowledgement that it is being investigated;
* clarification that the reported behaviour is intended;
* confirmation that a fix is planned;
* or inclusion in a future Known Issues list.
The combination of gameplay exploits, client disruption, duplication, server visibility problems, questionable server configurations, and moderation limitations can have a much larger impact than an ordinary gameplay bug.
Hopefully these issues can receive further investigation and clearer communication in a future hotfix or update.
