What happened?

  1. I select a server and click "Play" to join.

  2. The game starts loading and the 15-second countdown timer begins.

  3. As soon as the timer finishes and the game is supposed to spawn me in, DayZ freezes completely and Windows shows a "DayZ is not responding" error message.

I have already tried restarting my computer and verifying the integrity of the game files, but the issue persists.

Could you please help me find a solution or tell me which crash logs I should provide to help diagnose the problem?

    I have had this same issue in contacted support. i play on xbox and they gave me a few options. i have been seeing this same issue on tiktok and reddit. it is hella annoying because i really want to play like i ysed to and gain a lot of hours in the game and its unbearable. even when i do get into a server i cant only play for 10 minutes before my game de syncs and doesnt allow me to do anything other than walk

    Hello.
    if the game freezes rather than crashes, there are no crash dumps generated for us to check.
    We would suggest to do a clean install of all your drivers / disable steam cloud sync and then reinstall the game as well.
    If the issue persists even upon doing so you could try to do a clean Windows install and then install just Steam+DayZ to check if it occurs on clean system as well
