First of all, thank you for all your work on DayZ. I am really looking forward to playing Badlands. I have an idea that I think would fit the desert environment perfectly. What if Badlands featured a very rare camel encounter?
The camel would not need to be rideable. Instead, it could be a unique and memorable survival event that players occasionally discover while exploring the desert. The camel could carry saddlebags with useful survival supplies, such as water, long-lasting food, or energy bars, bandages, or occasionally a compass or a map.
When a player finds the camel, they would face an interesting survival decision. Take the supplies and leave it alive, or kill it for meat and other resources. Because this encounter would be very rare, it could create one of those memorable DayZ moments without affecting balance.
