What happened?
After the bolt cycling animation finishes on any bolt-action rifle (vanilla and
modded alike; pump-action shotguns are NOT affected), the weapon model briefly
dips down out of the raised stance and snaps back within a fraction of a second.
This happens regardless of stance: both when holding RMB (raised hip stance) and
when simply cycling/reloading without RMB. The cycling animation plays normally,
but right after it ends the weapon visibly drops and returns. It disrupts aim
during fast follow-up shots.
Verified on a 100% vanilla setup:
- fresh dedicated server (verified files, no mods, empty -mod parameter),
- vanilla client (no mods loaded in launcher, verified files),
- reproduced with M70 Tundra and Mosin 91/30,
- also reproduced on public community servers (vanilla and modded alike),
- reproduces both in 3rd person and 1st person, standing still in an open field
(so it is not the weapon obstruction system; WeaponObstructionData 0/0 makes
no difference).
This behavior did not exist in 1.28.
Reproduction steps
1. Vanilla client, any server (local vanilla dedicated server is enough).
2. Take any bolt-action rifle (e.g. M70 Tundra), ammo not required.
3. Press R to cycle the bolt (or fire and cycle). Holding RMB is not required —
the bug shows both with and without the raised stance.
4. Watch the weapon right after the cycling animation ends: it dips down and
returns within a fraction of a second. Repeats on every cycle.
Exact build version (optional)
Where did it happen?
Is it modded?
Expected result
After the bolt cycling animation ends, the weapon should smoothly return to its
previous stance (raised or lowered) without any extra dip. This is how it worked
in 1.28.
