On the Linux dedicated server, no entries from messages.xml are applied. The file is opened at startup (verified with inotify), but the CE logs "!!! [CE][offlineDB] :: No Shutdown message present." even when the file contains a valid shutdown countdown. Neither repeat/onconnect messages nor the shutdown countdown are executed. No "Failed to read" or "Wrong xml format" message is logged. The same messages.xml works on Windows servers.

Also tested without effect: LF and CRLF line endings, UTF-8 locale (LANG/LC_ALL=C.UTF-8), registering the file via cfgeconomycore.xml (<ce folder="mhtest"><file name="messages.xml" type="messages"/></ce>), missions Nasdara and Chernarus. None of the vanilla missions shipped with the Linux server contain a messages.xml.

1. Fresh Linux dedicated server (Debian, Docker), no mods, template="dayzOffline.chernarusplus" in serverDZ.cfg

2. Create mpmissions/dayzOffline.chernarusplus/db/messages.xml:

Countdown messages are broadcast and the server shuts down after ~3 minutes, as it does on Windows servers.
