Currently, Mortar Mix spawns in an unprepared state and requires water before it can be used for construction.
Once water is added, it becomes MortarMix_Opened, which can remain usable indefinitely without drying out.
Since the game already allows prepared mortar mix to remain usable for extended periods, it could be interesting to occasionally find ready-to-use mortar mix directly in the world.
Suggestion
Add MortarMix_Opened to the Central Economy loot pool with a significantly lower spawn probability than regular Mortar Mix.
This would:
Add more variety to construction-related loot.
Give players a small but useful reward when exploring.
Occasionally reduce the need to find water before starting construction.
Preserve the existing preparation mechanic as the primary way to obtain usable mortar mix.
The prepared version should remain rare, making it a pleasant discovery rather than a replacement for regular Mortar Mix.
