When a player disconnects from a server during night time (or from dark underground locations like tunnels), the main menu immediately loads the default high-brightness daytime scene.
This abrupt transition causes severe visual glare ("flashbang effect") for players whose eyes have adapted to dark in-game environments or dark rooms.
I propose dynamically matching the main menu scene's time of day or lighting conditions based on the server time/environment the player just exited (or reflecting the local system time).
Rationale / Why it's needed:
Prevents Eye Strain & Discomfort: Eliminates sudden blinding brightness when exiting a dark night raid or tunnel exploration into a bright daytime menu screen.
Seamless Immersion & Continuity: Creates a smooth visual transition between active gameplay and the main menu interface.
Better Dark Room UX: Significantly improves user experience for players who prefer nighttime gaming sessions.
Suggested Implementation:
Last Known Time Context: Pass the time-of-day parameter from the active server session to the main menu manager upon disconnection, loading a night/twilight variant of the menu scene if it was night in-game.
Dynamic Menu Scenes: Alternatively, synchronize the main menu scene's time of day with the player's local system clock or provide a toggle in options for a Permanent Dark/Night Main Menu theme.
