This is a regression: in 1.29 active light sources stayed on when entering a vehicle. In 1.30 the issue is back.
When a player enters a vehicle while holding an active light source in hands (flashlight, chemlight, road flare, gas lamp and similar items), the item is switched off. If the same items are attached to a slot or placed inside a backpack, they keep working (at least the ones that are supposed to stay active while stored).
For flashlights and gas lamps this can be turned back on manually, but it is still not intended behavior. For chemlights and road flares it is clearly a bug: once activated, they cannot be extinguished, yet entering a vehicle turns them off.
Additionally, a road flare extinguished this way can be ignited again. The cap is already missing from the flare model (it was torn off on the first ignition), but the ignition action is still available and the cap tearing animation plays again, even though there is no cap left.

I have not tested it, but most likely the same happens with lit brooms and improvised torches. This did not happen before. For obvious reasons, it should not be possible to enter a vehicle with a burning broom or torch at all. It should not be extinguished on entering; instead, the option to enter a vehicle should be unavailable while a burning broom or torch is held in hands.
