See attached videos. When certain clothing items are taken on and off the character, even while the night vision is toggled ON and you can see the night vision tubes lowered onto the character's face, the clothing actions can toggle the night vision on and off.

Wear NV goggles w NV headstrap
Turn them on using the keybind
Open Inventory and take stuff on/off
