TITLE: PC Stable 1.30.164200 – Incorrect “Xbox Experimental” Warning and Severely Corrupted HUD/Status Icons
Platform: PC – Steam
Branch: PUBLIC / STABLE (NOT Experimental)
Version: DayZ 1.30.164200
Steam ID: [STEAM ID]
Date issue started: October 21, 2026
DESCRIPTION:
Since the DayZ PC Stable update released on October 21, 2026, my game has developed two serious UI/HUD problems.
Everything was working normally earlier the same day, before the update.
FIRST ISSUE – INCORRECT “XBOX EXPERIMENTAL” WARNING ON STEAM STABLE
When loading into a server, DayZ displays the following warning in French:
“Vous jouez à la version expérimentale Xbox, une version préliminaire de DayZ…”
This is incorrect.
I am playing DayZ on PC through Steam. I am NOT using DayZ Experimental.
I have verified this directly in:
Steam → DayZ → Properties → Betas / Game Versions
Steam clearly shows:
“Version publique par défaut” / Default public version.
There are no beta or Experimental branches enabled.
I have a screenshot showing the Steam configuration confirming that I am running the public Stable version.
SECOND ISSUE – SEVERELY CORRUPTED HUD / FALSE STATUS ICONS
Once I enter the game, the HUD at the bottom of the screen is severely corrupted.
A large number of character status icons are displayed simultaneously. They appear to represent injuries, illnesses and various other character conditions even though the character does NOT actually have these conditions.
Some HUD elements also appear duplicated, overlapping or incorrectly positioned.
This is not related to one particular saved character.
I tested this on a PUBLIC Nasdara server that I had never played on before. A completely new character was created, and the exact same corrupted HUD/status icons appeared immediately.
The problem therefore occurs both on my private server and on a public server with a brand-new character.
TROUBLESHOOTING ALREADY COMPLETED:
Steam file integrity verification completed successfully. No corrupted files were found.
Steam and DayZ were completely closed and restarted.
The computer was restarted.
DayZ was completely reinstalled through Steam.
The existing Documents\DayZ profile/configuration folder was renamed and backed up.
DayZ was then launched and allowed to automatically create a completely new Documents\DayZ folder and clean configuration.
The problem remained exactly the same with the newly generated profile/configuration.
The problem was reproduced on a public Nasdara server with a brand-new character.
Steam was checked to confirm that DayZ is using the DEFAULT PUBLIC/STABLE VERSION and not Experimental.
RESULT:
None of these troubleshooting steps changed the problem.
IMPORTANT TIMELINE:
DayZ was functioning normally earlier on October 21, 2026.
The problem appeared after the PC Stable 1.30.164200 update.
Because the problem occurs:
after a complete reinstall;
with a completely new DayZ profile/configuration;
on the Steam Public/Stable branch;
on a public server;
with a brand-new character;
it does not appear to be caused by my private server, server configuration, mods, saved character data, or my previous local DayZ profile.
I can provide screenshots showing:
The incorrect “Xbox Experimental” warning while running the Steam PC Stable version.
The corrupted in-game HUD with numerous false status icons.
The overlapping/loading UI.
Steam Properties confirming “Default public version” / “Version publique par défaut”.
Please investigate whether the PC Stable 1.30.164200 build is incorrectly loading Experimental/Xbox UI resources or whether there is a regression in the HUD/status-icon system introduced with the October 21 update.
The issue is consistently reproducible on my system.
Thank you.
