The underground Irrigation Tunnels in Badlands are completely pitch-black, forcing players to constantly hold light sources in their hands or rely on night vision goggles.
I propose adding interactive environmental lighting options inside the tunnel networks:
Generator-Powered Lights: Pre-installed electric light fixtures that turn on when players repair and fuel a surface/underground generator connected to the tunnel circuit.
Long-Burning Stationary Torches / Braziers: Mountable wall sconces or oil drums where players can ignite long-burning fuel/torches to permanently illuminate key junctions.
Rationale / Why it's needed:
Creates Engaging Gameplay Loops: Repairing and powering a generator creates tactical risk vs. reward — it brightens the dark tunnels for easier navigation, but alerts nearby players with engine noise.
Dynamic PvP & Atmosphere: Allows players or squads to establish "safe zones" or light up specific sectors during prolonged combat or exploration.
Hands-Free Exploration: Gives players a way to navigate and fight underground without being forced to hold a flashlight in one hand at all times.
Suggested Implementation:
Place disabled industrial generator props near major tunnel entrances that can be powered with Gasoline and a Spark Plug to activate overhead tube lights.
Add wall-mounted torch holders or oil drums near junctions where players can place and light long-lasting fuel sources.
