Currently, Irrigation Tunnel access points in Badlands are often high-visibility structures that stand out in the environment. This makes them predictable and easy to camp from a distance.
I propose adding masked/concealed entrance variants scattered across the map. These could include hidden maintenance hatches covered by debris/foliage, entrance shafts hidden inside dilapidated basements, or drainage pipes concealed within overgrown riverbeds.
Rationale / Why it's needed:
Encourages Exploration: Players have to actively search for hidden entrances using landmarks or environmental cues instead of relying on obvious surface markers.
Reduces Long-Range Camping: Makes it much harder for snipers to lock down tunnel entrances from hundreds of meters away, as the access points blend naturally into the terrain/structures.
Improves Atmosphere & Stealth: Provides tactical opportunities for stealthy players or smaller squads to enter/exit the subterranean network unnoticed.
Suggested Implementation:
Design distinct visual styles for tunnel entrances (e.g., hidden floor hatches in ruined buildings, overgrown drainage culverts, collapsed cellars).
Ensure hidden entrances still maintain logical connections to the main Irrigation Tunnel grid.
