Currently, accessing or exiting Irrigation Tunnels in Badlands heavily relies on vertical shafts requiring rope ladders. This creates extreme bottlenecking and chokepoint camping, as exiting players are completely defenseless while climbing.
I propose adding standard ground-level or sloped walk-out exits (e.g., inclined access ramps, drainage outlets, or basement connections) to select Irrigation Tunnel networks alongside vertical ladder shafts.
Rationale / Why it's needed:
Prevents Severe Chokepoint Camping: Gives players alternative escape routes so camping a single vertical ladder isn't an easy trap for campers.
More Dynamic PvP: Enables flank routes and varied tactical options during firefights inside and around underground structures.
Realistic World Design: Infrastructure like irrigation networks naturally features sloped maintenance exits, drainage portals, and service ramps in addition to vertical access hatches.
Suggested Implementation:
Connect certain tunnel branches to natural hillside drainage portals or basement stairwells of nearby buildings.
Ensure a mix of both vertical (ladder required) and horizontal (walk-out) exits across the Irrigation Tunnel network for tactical balance.
