I am unable to launch DayZ on my Windows laptop through Steam.
When I launch DayZ, the BattlEye Launcher and BEService.exe start, and DayZ_x64.exe appears in Windows Task Manager. The process remains running and uses CPU and memory, but no game window appears.
The DayZ launcher also sometimes displays the message: "Failed to start BattlEye service. Do you want to start DayZ without BattlEye?"
Launching without BattlEye does not resolve the issue. Running DayZ_x64.exe or DayZDiag_x64.exe directly also fails to display the game window.
Troubleshooting already performed:
Verified DayZ game files through Steam.
Reinstalled and checked BattlEye services.
Confirmed BEService and BEDaisy were running.
Updated NVIDIA graphics drivers.
Ran DISM /RestoreHealth successfully.
Ran SFC /scannow and repaired damaged Windows files.
Repaired Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable x64 and x86.
Restarted Windows multiple times.
Tested with the Alienware overlay closed or disabled.
Checked Windows Event Viewer.
Earlier Windows Reliability Monitor records showed DayZLauncher.exe crashes involving ntdll.dll, including exception code c0000005.
Other games run normally on this laptop.
Could you please help determine why DayZ_x64.exe remains running without displaying a game window? Please let me know which diagnostic logs you need.
