Hello DayZ Team,
I am experiencing a highly specific and severe performance issue on PlayStation 5 following the recent updates. The game runs smoothly at a stable framerate while navigating empty wilderness areas. However, the moment an infected (zombie) or another player enters my visual or network bubble, the game suffers an immediate, sharp stutter/freeze (render lag).
This performance drop seems strictly tied to the console loading dynamic entities, textures, or player inventories. To isolate the issue, I have performed extensive troubleshooting:
• Switched between high-population community servers and completely empty official vanilla servers (the issue persists on both).
• Tested on multiple different PS5 user accounts on the same console (same behavior).
• Switched from Wi-Fi to a dedicated LAN cable and changed DNS settings.
• Verified that the game is installed on the console's internal high-speed SSD.
Since this stutter only triggers selectively upon entity rendering, it confirms that it is an optimization bottleneck introduced by the current patch rather than a local hardware failure. Reformatting the console did not resolve this for other players facing the same issue.
Please look into console optimization for asset streaming and network synchronization bubbles on PlayStation 5.
Thank you.
