I'm experiencing a persistent microphone issue with the PC Game Pass / Xbox app version of DayZ on Windows 11.
My microphone works perfectly in Discord, Windows microphone testing, and Xbox party chat. However, DayZ does not appear to detect my voice. When I hold push-to-talk, the voice indicator appears, but it does not react to my speech, and other players cannot hear me. This happens on both official and community servers.
Troubleshooting I've already completed:
Selected my headset microphone explicitly in DayZ and the Xbox app.
Set the Xbox app's microphone input and audio output devices explicitly.
Tested both push-to-talk and voice activation.
Checked Windows microphone privacy settings.
Disabled audio enhancements and other recording devices.
Repaired/reinstalled Windows 11 and repaired/reinstalled the game.
The Windows microphone input meter continues responding while DayZ is running and I'm holding push-to-talk. Xbox Game Bar also detects my microphone. However, DayZ's voice indicator does not react to my voice, and DayZ's last microphone-access time in Windows privacy settings does not update when I test it.
I also tried running DayZ as administrator, but no Windows microphone permission prompt appeared.
This appears to be an issue specific to DayZ's microphone access or voice-chat implementation rather than a hardware problem.
Could you investigate whether the Microsoft Store/Xbox app version of DayZ has a microphone-access or VOIP bug on Windows 11? I'd appreciate any troubleshooting steps beyond those listed above, or confirmation if this is a known issue.
Thank you.
