Map: Chernarus
Since update 1.30, vehicles have been experiencing impacts of varying severity when driving over railway tracks on Chernarus. This issue did not occur before the update.
Today, while driving over the tracks, my vehicle suffered a severe impact, as if it had hit a rock, even though there were no obstacles other than the railway tracks themselves. Both front tires burst, and my character was knocked unconscious. In version 1.29, I drove through this exact same location every day at high speed without ever experiencing this problem.
In addition to this issue, driving has become extremely frustrating due to frequent FPS drops, severe lag, and stuttering.
After conducting several tests, I noticed that these performance issues consistently coincide with the timestamps recorded in the server’s RPT logs for the generation of specific dynamic events.
The StaticAirplaneCrate event appears to be particularly problematic in my case. FPS drops and stuttering become especially noticeable when approaching the location where this event occurs.
However, the same severe FPS drops and stuttering also occur regardless of my location on the map. These issues consistently coincide with the timestamps recorded in the RPT logs for the generation of the following events:
StaticHeliCrash
StaticMilitaryConvoy
StaticPoliceCar
StaticPoliceSituation
StaticTrain — this appears to be the most problematic event.
In some cases, FPS drops and stuttering have also coincided exactly with the timestamps recorded in the RPT logs for “pond” events and door-opening events. This suggests that the performance issues may not be limited to major dynamic events and could also be associated with other in-game events or server processes. These occurrences should also be investigated.
The correlation between these events and the performance issues is consistent enough to warrant further investigation. Could the generation or processing of these events be contributing to the performance problems introduced in update 1.30?
The vehicle impacts on railway tracks also appear to be a new issue introduced in this version, as I never experienced them in version 1.29 when driving through the same locations under similar conditions.
To rule out potential problems with my own equipment or internet connection, I also performed network route tests. My internet connection is a 1 Gbps fiber-optic connection, and I play on a PlayStation 5 Pro. The tests indicate that my connection and console are functioning perfectly, with no apparent issues on my end that would explain these problems.
Based on these tests and observations, I believe the cause may lie within the game itself, the PlayStation version of DayZ, or the Nitrado servers hosting the game. I cannot definitively identify which of these is responsible, but the consistency of the issues and their correlation with the RPT event timestamps suggest that further technical investigation is necessary.
Please investigate both the vehicle physics on railway tracks and the severe performance degradation associated with these events. These issues significantly affect vehicle handling, survival, and the overall gameplay experience on Chernarus.
