The light source of the flashlight detaches from its model. This issue affects both Soviet and US flashlights. While it might be less noticeable in first-person view, it is extremely obvious in third-person view.
Observed Issues:
Detached Light Source: The main light projection originates from a point floating in mid-air, completely detached from the flashlight model. The light source is constantly jittering.
Improper Tracking: When the flashlight is stowed to the body, the light source still follows the player's camera/view direction. This is unreasonable and unrealistic.
Incorrect Projection Direction: Sometimes, when holding the flashlight in hand, the projection direction of the light is vastly different from the direction the player is holding it.
Disappearing Model (Soviet Flashlight): Occasionally, when the Soviet flashlight is attached to the body, the flashlight model disappears entirely. This is a more severe issue than standard clipping/mesh intersection.
PS:Minor light projection misalignments occur very frequently, but the trigger conditions for extreme misalignments (like the one in the screenshot) are currently unknown.
