Arma 3 is a perfect game, even though it’s not well-optimized, and I’ve still managed to put 4,000 hours into it. When I switched to Reforger, I thought it would be even better. First, I went through the training, then joined the Official servers, and fully appreciated the game as it deserves. However, this joy didn't last long.
The moment I tried to join my community's server (WITH MODS), all my excitement for the 'New Arma' completely vanished. After clicking join, the absolute 'HELL' began: the mods simply refused to download. Specifically, any mods larger than 70 MB wouldn't download at all, and it's all because I have a weak internet connection. I literally had to carry my PC tower over to someone else's place who had at least 30–50 MB/s just in hopes of playing on the server. Since mods get updated frequently, this constant 'hauling' simply exhausted me, and I stopped playing the game so often.
In my opinion, it would be much better if you implemented the Steam Workshop instead of this built-in one. The in-game workshop is just uncomfortable, and on top of that, it fails to download mods properly. Right now, playing Arma 3 feels way more viable because at least you can download mods without suffering. In Reforger, it's a total nightmare. So I strongly advise you to listen to my feedback and switch to the Steam Workshop instead of the built-in one.
