Search is inconsistent
Searching by mod ID is the best way to find something but this isn't mentioned anywhere.
If a mod is multiple words but I miss a space (e.g "Where Am I" Will not appear if I type WhereAm
The tags available to search with on the website are different to what's available in game. (e.g there's a "Test" filter on the in-game workshop but nothing like that on the website, but there many, many many, user-defined tags on the website)
The website version of the workshop has different information available than in-game
I can't easily see what other mods a mod developer has made, outside of searching their name on the workshop. This isn't always an option if they have a generic username that matches a lot of other modders or even the names of mods directly.
The information displayed on the in-game workshop vs the website is wildly different. In-game, I cannot view:
Changelogs (but I can see the version number of the mod for some reason??)
Date of last update
Game version
Sorting options are completely different
# of downloads
The rating
Sorting filters seem useless when searching
In-game
If I search "Where Am I" and sort by subscriber count descending, "Where Am I" appears at number 1, which is correct. However if I sort by ascending, it goes to the third spot, implying Where Am I is now the 3rd least subscribed mod with the search, but somehow it is also the 1st most subscribed mod in the search
Sorting by "Popularity" is also completely wrong
Website
If I search "ValterB" (mod author of "Where Am I"), and sort by most subscribed, "Where Am I" appears 5th out of 6 mods. This is obviously incorrect, with the 1st mod in the list having 2 subscribers and the 2nd mod in the list having 1
In the same above search, if I sort by newest, "ValterOverthrowChernarusMinus" appears 5th of 6 mods, but mods before it in the list have an older release date.
Download speeds are super inconsistent. Sometimes I download at literal Kb/s. My internet and PC can handle installing a 70gb game in 20 minutes, it shouldn't take me 30 minutes to download 6gb (as it did a few days ago)
Not being able to download or update mods outside launching the game sucks. I wish I could keep playing another game while my mods updated. Some sort of website integration would fix this.
The mod manager itself is quite laggy when you have a large number of mods. It takes 30 seconds-1 minute for my mod manager to open, and there's a decent freeze each time I unload a mod, meaning removing a lot of mods (but not all of them) takes a while
No search in the mod manager is kind of ludicrous. You guys know how many mods people tend to download, not having an easy way to find one in particular sucks. That, and they're not always in alphabetical order for some reason.
Not being able to leave feedback or give ANYONE a heads up that a mod is broken is a terrible idea. Project Redline has been sitting on the front page of the workshop for as long as I can remember, and it's been broken for an incredibly long time. If someone downloads it and that's their first experience of a modded helicopter, they might not bother downloading mods again and just assume the workshop is full to the brim of broken and abandoned mods. Even just a way for mods to actually rotate by popularity (i.e 3 monthly like Steam) would fix this.
