Currently, players can climb onto and freely walk across canvas tents, awnings, and shelter roofs (such as those constructed over base factories or supply structures).
In reality, these structures are made of light fabric or tarp supported by thin frames and cannot support the weight of a fully gear-laden soldier. Allowing players to stand on them creates unrealistic sniping positions and breaks visual immersion.
Rationale / Why it's needed:
Realism & Immersion: Tents and canvas shelters are soft structures; seeing soldiers run along flexible tarp roofs looks unnatural.
Prevents Exploits: Prevents players from creating unintended vantage points or camping spots on top of light base-building covers.
Suggested Implementation / Details:
Option A (Collision Adjustment): Adjust the collision mesh of tent/tarp roofs so players slide off, fall through, or cannot stand firmly on them.
Option B (Damage/Collapse): Make canvas roofs collapsible or non-walkable surfaces that cause the character to fall to the ground.
