I tested with mods and many times with no mods at all. In perfect conditions, the ai failed 5 times in a row doing what should be an extremely simple drive. This was in an empty game. Then after 1-10 minutes of trying to convince the ai to get in the truck that’s unobstructed and you’ve destroyed multiple walls to try and help their path finding, then they drive, load up, and since they are on a one lane road, and there commander was so nice to break the wooden fence and now you have an abused amount of space to turn your big truck around, obviously the move is to reverse down the one lane road in that slow ass truck. Then once it got to the first bend in the road by some rocks down to the beach, it then chose to turn around there, it of course fell off the road. So a supply truck and 1500 supplies gone, road was blocked off for so long for not reason. They did this five times in a row. I trailed them in a light utility vehicle to observe, there were no road blocks at all. Now 6 in a row. It’s on Everon, I’m trying to get supplies from Lancre dock over to granit MOB. (The mob is in the middle of the road that connects Lancre dock and Saint Pierre harbour. It’s unbelievably infuriating and embarrassing. Please go test it yourself and you will know what I mean as it is not possible for them to do anything but continue to fuck up in the exact same manner ever single time, again. IN A CONTROLLED ENVIRONMENT. They are failing this badly. I genuinely don’t understand how this ai is supposed to be used it’s just Guarnteed lost supplies and congestion of a road for what exactly? Thankfully the fire team ai driving seems flawless for commander. Not only do I order them farther, on worse roads, and they would get there, dismount, destroy everything, then I could even order them to defend like 60 meters up the road and to my surprise they instantly hopped in the IFV, moved and dismounted. Like WHERE IS THAT AI????? like something with the logical must be broken. All I want is the logi to be able to succeed on a open road with 0 outside influence affecting it. I feel that is very reasonable.
