Description
For a long time, I used a PS3Eye camera, a clip with 3 IR LEDs, and OpenTrack for head tracking in a helicopter. Everything worked perfectly. Then I stopped playing Reforger for six months. Now I'm back and have discovered some strange bugs:
When I join a server, head tracking works perfectly. But if I fly a helicopter and CRASH in it, upon respawn:
A. Head tracking stops working completely, as does
B. Mouse look (using Alt) stops working
C. Mouse movement sensitivity becomes very high
D. The character can spontaneously turn 90 degrees
The same thing happens when creating a custom scenario.
A. If you create a scenario from scratch, everything works perfectly. But if you fly a helicopter and die in it, everything stops working.
B. If I close the game and create the scenario again, all tracking still doesn't work.
BUT. If I delete the folder with the saved scenario from "My Games\ArmaReforger\profile.save\app1874880_user*\game" and create the scenario again, everything works perfectly until the next time I die in the helicopter...
Does anyone know how to fix this?
I've tried everything I could to fix the problem. These include:
Reinstalling buttlEye
Disabling Windows Defender
Disabling/enabling the Steam input system
Running as administrator: steam, opentrack, arma.
Restarting OpenTrack
Turning head tracking off and on in-game
Deleting the game cache
Deleteting mod folder
Nothing helps. Furthermore, head tracking no longer works in GameMaster scenarios, but it does work in Conflict mode until I crash in a helicopter...
UPD.
I figured out how to fix the issue in GameMaster. But I think it's not normal and hasn't happened before.
In GameMaster, after a helicrash, you have to delete the old character's corpse and only then "take control" of the new unit. After that, heatracking works fine until the next helicrash.
I think the server isn't properly binding controls to units. While I can fix it in my GameMaster, in online Conflict mode on someone else's server, after every helicrash, I'm left without heatracking.
Also, I noticed that after enabling HeadTracking, pressing ESC doesn't immediately bring up the game menu. There's clearly some kind of input conflict...
