After I start the game after powering up the computer, I often have to reassign the game input controller (e.g. joystick, wheel) assignments, as they will not work any longer.
Test preconditions:
Relevant assignments have been made in Settings - Joystick tabs
Test scenario 1:
Shut down computer to full power off state.
Power up computer and boot into OS.
Start Arma Reforger Experimental.
Add ground vehicle and helicopter in sample scenario (game master).
Enter ground vehicle and try to start the engine or use other relevant binding for ground vehicle -> Test result TR1.
Leave ground vehicle and enter helicopter and try to start the engine or use other relevant binding for helicopter -> Test result TR2.
In case TR1 and/or TR2 result in no operation or incorrect operation, change assignments to relevant buttons on controller(s).
Power down PC to state which fully de-energizes the machine.
Repeat steps 1 through 7 for at least 5 cycles to collect relevant statistical data
Current result: TR1 and TR2 do not adhere to previous bindings of assigned hardware inputs operate relevant controls as assigned in over 75% of test runs.
Expected result: TR1 and TR2 will adhere to previous bindings of assigned hardware inputs operate relevant controls as assigned.
Relevant hardware:
Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS with F/A-18 grip
Thrustmaster Warthog Throttle
Logitech G920 wheel and pedals
Custom made rudder pedals (based on FreeJoy)
