We did not get reports from other players about this issue so far. Therefore it is likely the issue is somewhere on your end rather than with the game.
Please make sure all your audio drivers are up to date and everything is set up correctly.

A reddit user had managed to fix this issue on their end by doing the following:

"I've found the cause to be due to using a certain sound channel in Windows. If I am using the channel "Headset Earphone" I have this issue. If I change the sound channel in Windows over to "Speakers" (headset) it works just fine for me. Hope this helps."

I've got a similar case on xbox series s, sometimes when i enter any building and its raining, instead of the rain sound being muffled it completly stops.
