When playing in first person; with all hud elements disabled, the game is not as playable as it could be.
Issues:
Zero distance not visible on gun
Fire mode not visible on gun
Interacting with world too particular (items must be looked at directly on the crosshair, and the keybinds to drop and grab items must be held for such a long time it is difficult to know when either action has happened)
For players playing without sound, the other indicator for fire mode and world interactions becomes totally undetectable, some visual cues and easing of the particularity would make the game much smoother with no hud elements.
Solutions:
Fire mode and zero distance could be added to the models in universal, and not necessarily realistic ways, or you can add visual cues for changing them like how you toggling flashlights on weapons, (which is very annoying that you cant reconfigure the keybind for, because it frequently triggers accidentally in any serious gunfight.)
For the world interactions you can make the circle for grabbing something slightly bigger, and just grab whatever is closest to the cursor, and visible, (so if one item is in front of another, the item in front is interacted with; if one item is closer to the crosshair, and visible, although farther from the player, than another item which is also close to the crosshair, but not as close to the crosshair as the first item, it will pick up the item farther from the player because it is closer to the crosshair; as if items are registered in 2 dimensional space concerning the crosshair and interactions), and find a way to "relax" the time limit for holding keys to complete actions, like dropping items or grabbing items. One idea: you hold the key down and it "cues" the drop, cancel it by doing something different, but it triggers much sooner, so we hold the key down longer than a "press" and the game immediately cues the action, now there is a short timer, maybe it's 1 second, during this timer you can do any action that would cancel an action, and it will cancel the drop, if you dont do anything it will drop the item after the 1 second. If you continue to hold the drop key after the "cue" then the item will immediately drop, taking less than a second, versus the current system which takes holding the key down for a full second and a fraction it seems; which is quite a long time in the game.
Turn off your hud and quickbar
Equip your backpack, fill both back slots, and hold a large item in your hands
Fill all remaining inventory slots with items
Enter an area with a large amount of desirable loot, for effect make sure your character is hungry
Begin looting and do not use the inventory page to drop the item in your hands, or to pick up items (try looking for food)
Doing this enough, you will get the idea of just how cumbersome the current system is
Since the "What happened?" category now includes the footer "what you expected" I'm not sure I know what this section is for anymore. If this is meant for users to share what kind of resolution they would like to see, then maybe you could change the wording to "What should we do next?" or something to that effect.
If that's what this section is for, then I expect for the game to adopt elements that are tailored for more immersive elements; alternatively, if you would just give me the ability to develop content for this game as I've been asking, I would gladly make the features myself and leave you alone about it.
