What happened?

When turning on Dayz before 1.29 Auto-HDR would turn on and the game would look really nice and colorful. Now it doesn't start after the newest update and the game looks very washed out, hard to tell the difference between shades of color and it is hard not to notice.

Reproduction steps

Open Dayz on Xbox on a TV that supports HDR and have Auto-HDR turned on in your Xbox settings. When starting the game Auto-HDR will not start. If opening another game it will but for some reason Auto-HDR will not work with Dayz anymore. You can not get it to work with Dayz anymore even after restarting or trying to reapply the settings.

    I also submitted this exact bug back in April this year.



    T198216 was the ticket.


    I have heard nothing further and my ticket seems to have disappeared without any resolution?


    Please light a fire under this. It has been 5 months of a completely broken HDR system on Xbox.


    Last I heard BI asked me to submit a video of the issue, which I did but there has been no further news.


    Obviously, with this ticket here you can see that it isn't an isolated incident.


    Can Auto HDR being completely broken not be a major concern?


    With Badlands just around the corner, please, please fix this.

    See I'm starting to wonder the same thing. Why it hasn't moved in the 24 days when all that you need to do to check if it's not working is reproduce the simple steps I have above?


    I really like this game the visual bugs though with rendering and the Auto-HDR not working, lately, it really takes the immersiveness away from the game that I truly love. Which unfortunately are affecting all Xbox players at the moment.


    Hoping we get some movement on this and it doesn't end up in Limbo like the one you submitted. Fingers crossed!
